Open Question: help please =’[?

When ever i try to load an game, it keeps telling me that it cannot connect to the server, but my friends and play it perfectly. I cheaked my firewall and its not blocking it it have java, shockwave, flash and direct X installed and it still wont let me load it T__T Help please
