Java around the world

Yeah like the title says, I can load de maps. Most of them anyways, along with most ZM maps. but I cannot play any CS maps at all. When it's loading it stops at "Checking the server" or something and then it just glitches up then closes down and gives me an idirectx error message, and the usual h2l.exe error message. I play at this one Zombie map but all the Zombies are errors running around and it gets sort of hard to shoot an error. It hasn't always been doing this it started to do this recently.
