Java around the world

Ok i went to my freinds house and he had halo trial. He was playing gh3 so i thought it looked good and opend halo trial. i clicked multiplayer. no servers appeared. but thats not the problem. he showed me how to use gamespy to get the servers finding. so i go home, download trial and then open gamespy arcade or w/e. it needs a update and i need to make an account i do it. then i go to halo trial join a server then it pops to a black screen opening halo, then goes back to this white screen and in the left corner it says "Game Spy Arcade 2.0.5 (Non-Subscriber). So what dhould i do to be able to join
